Keystone Arches
Restoration has begun on the Keystone
Arches in Chester, MA. Built in 1844 by
Major George Washington Whistler. In an
area so steep and remote it was said to be
impossible, as ridiculous as a "railroad to
the moon." They are dry laid and average
a height of 70ft. At the time it was the
highest and longest railroad in the world.
